Do I have to pay to register my microchip?
It depends on where your pet’s microchip came from and what’s included.
If your pet was microchipped with a SmartTag microchip through a veterinarian, shelter, or rescue: Most microchips come with registration included—either lifetime protection or one year free. Enter your microchip number here to see what type of protection is included with your animal’s microchip.
If you purchased a microchip separately or it’s from another registry: There will typically be a registration fee to add it to our database and activate protection services.
