Follow these steps to register your animal’s microchip with SmartTag.
To register a microchip, navigate to our Register Your Pet page. Create an account with us or login if you’ve already signed up!
Next, enter your owner details, your pet details (including photos), and any secondary or veterinary contacts you’d like to include.
Confirm everything is correct on the “Review Details” section, then continue to choose your pet protection plan.
NOTE: If free pet protection is included with your microchip registration, the free option will be displayed first. In the below example, 1 Year of pet protection is included. You can always upgrade to enhanced protection or purchase a lifetime protection plan by clicking the “Lifetime” tab.
Optionally, you can choose to have a custom ID tag created with your pet’s details.
Select your tag, customize your text, and Add to cart. Or, if you do not want a tag, just click “Skip Tag & Complete Checkout”.
The last step is to complete your order by adding a payment method (if applicable) and clicking ‘Place Order’. It is important to complete the order even if your only product is a free protection plan. Placing the order activates your pet’s protection!
