SmartTag offers various types of microchips, 6 unique microchip scanners, ID tag programs, pet licensing programs, lost pet “Amber Alerts,” and a Universal microchip registry. All SmartTag microchips are ISO and ICAR certified universal microchips, the international standard read by all universal scanners. Our microchips can be used for dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, ferrets and small mammals, birds, fish, and livestock. Microchips are pre-loaded in syringes with an easy to inject 12-gauge and 15-gauge needle inside a sterile pouch, packed in boxes of 10, 25 and 30 per pack.

Any SmartTag microchip or other brand microchip that is registered with SmartTag is searched for in AAHA Microchip Lookup Tool will show our contact information to get the lost or found pet home and reunited with their pet parents as quickly as possible.

If the unfortunate event your pet is ever lost, SmartTag Lost Pet Recovery Agents will call all of the Animal Shelter and Rescue Groups in a 25-50 mile radius (depending on region) of your pet’s last known location to locate your pet.
If your pet has not yet been found, our Recovery Agents alert all local shelters to your missing pet to help get the recovery process started.
SmartTag offers a $200 reward for any animal that has been marked as “lost” on www.IDtag.com or through our call center when an agent updates the animal’s status to “lost.” To qualify for the reward, the animal must be found by a third party (not the owner), who must then call our Live Lost and Found call center to report the animal as found. The call will connect the finder with the owner to facilitate the reunion. SmartTag receives confirmation of the reunion by record by phone. The owners of the pet must then fill out a reward payout request along with a testimonial describing the reuniting process. Both documents, reward payout request and testimonial, must be sent via email to microchip@IDtag.com for review. Upon approval, a check for $200 will then be mailed to the finder within 7 business days.
Lost Pet “Amber” Alerts can be sent in any location in all of North America. In the event your pet is lost, SmartTag sends alerts to all the animal shelter, rescue groups, vets, breeders, and animal search activists that have requested to be on our lost pet alert lists for their area.
All Microchip and SmartTag ID#s are searchable in Google and will lead directly to your pet’s profile.
Each SmartTag Microchip includes a metal collar ID tag, something no other microchip includes for free.
SmartTag also provides free metal replacement ID tags to all SmartTag Microchip customers with Platinum Protection.
