My dog Akira noticed I did not latch my back gate all the way, and she escaped from the backyard, that I saw on my security camera. We drove around looking for her and even though we knew which direction she went, but we could not locate her. Akira stopped a Good Samaritan for some good belly rubs, The woman (after the belly rubs) took her to a vet to get scanned. Two hours after her escape Akira was home safe and sound. Thank you, SmartTag!! Without having a microchip, we may not have found Akira, anyone who loves their pet should have a microchip!!

On a cold January morning, I was trying to remote start my car, but was not sure it started, so I walked outside and opened the gate…not even thinking about my dog! She bolted out and ran away in a flash. I remembered that she had been microchipped, although I hadn’t ever registered her (lesson learned).
